I get sparks in the fuse socket, when the ignition is off. Any thoughts?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tail lights and dash lights out. Blown "parking Lamps" fuse. When I try to
replace it  I get sparks in the fuse socket, when the ignition is off. Any thoughts?

I'd start with brake and head lights wiring , there maybe something obvious to the eye , a multi tester would be helpful

You have a dead short to ground somewhere in the circuit. See if you can see a chaffed wire or something similar near the park and or tail lights.
