Not starting consistently
2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.3L 250,000
Miles. My truck will only sometimes start. It
seems like it doesn't want to start after a
drastic change in the weather. If it does start
it runs fine other than it seams like it's
starving for fuel at around 2000 RPM. I have
had the distributor cap, fuel pump, and spark
plugs replaced in the last 3 years. The
dealership I took it to is trying to say it is the
ignition switch in the steering column. When
the truck doesn't start it's still turning over its
just acting like it's not getting fuel to actually
start. It does take a little bit of finesse to get
the key to turn but it's been like that for the
90,000 miles I have put on it. Does anybody
have any idea if the issue could be resolved
by changing the ignition switch?
