2001 silverado motor swap?

will soon need to take out the 5.3ltr V8 (415k miles/original motor) lots of valve clattering.
would like to replace with 350 small block, will transmission need to be swapped as well

The 5.3 is better in every way. I'm sure it can be done. 350 to 5.3 swaps are common. Just need to reverse it
