Grace and grit inside the intake of a 4.3 2002 Silverado

I bought a used motor supposed
to have a hundred and one
thousand miles on it and I had to
change the intake came out of a
Silverado have an S10 when I
pulled the intake there's a bunch of
grease and Grit by the spider the
central injector system

what would cause that and I told the guy that he sold me a bad motor he don't give me my money back and he's looking for another motor for me

Could be from an oil leak. Unless the dirt is on the inside of the engine it probably is not a big deal.
