can a 2 wheel drive truck be converted to a 4 wheel drive truck

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 (4 wheel drive) that runs great but the
frame has rusted beyond passing inspection.  I found a 2000 Chevy Silverado
1500 in great shape body wise but it's only a 2 wheel drive.  I know there is
differences between the two as far as one has a transfer case and one does not
but it something like this even possible?

Possible but hardly worth it. I would either replace your frame or buy another 4x4.
