Ok guys I have an issue thats driving me nuts. Im a diesel technician as a regular but this time im stumped and could use some assistance. My truck makes a growling/whiring/humming noise while driving, Its best heard between 25-45 mph and can be heard best when off the accelerator, radio has to be off to hear it well and it goes away when making a left hand turn. Ive already replaced the L/f wheel bearing/ hub assembly and that did not correct the issue. Im curious if anyone else is or has expirienced this issue and if they have any solutions.

check you rear diff. when i blew my g80 locker it had similar symptoms before it blew.

Had this same noise in a MDX I owned... Torque Converter... happens between those speeds....and its a low grumbling noise.

rocknut88 did you ever figure out what happened. you have my symptoms exactly and i cant figure out what it is.

i have the same humming problem and ive chnged the rear differential,axels, wheel bearing, drive shaft bearings , bought new tires im tired dont know what that sound is coming from so fustrated and broke now!!!!! HELP!!!!!
