2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4

Asked by Sorrentino Aug 14, 2015 at 02:45 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Chevy truck will start up, but then starts to boggle down and die as if fuel is not
passing through.  We have changed the fuel filter (which is very easy by the way).  I
was told to clean the throttle body.  But it still will not stay on.  Doing the same thing.
I really hope that it is not the fuel pump.  Is there anything else I could do before
getting to the fuel pump.  Really want that to be my last resort.  Please someone
help!  She has been a good old faithful truck til this past week.  She gave up on me
while on the road.

Check the fuel pressure, more than likely it is the fuel pump.
