2003 Chevy Silverado 1500

Just bought the truck last week has some cosmetic work
that will be done this spring. First time owning a truck an
its high miles which i can deal with cause as long as i keep
up on the maintenance it will be fine i hear an have seen
them be beasts for other family members an friends. Yes i
know a oil change is first is there anything else i should
focus on right away also transmission is running an
shifting fine an all the fluids are full. Just curious trying to
make it last awhile please don't jump on me for anything
yes i am a dumb girl when it comes to truck's

if your transmission is shifting, and your engine is running nicely. you will just have to, like you said, KEEP UP with that maintenance, and you will have to eventually, and hopefully because it means you are getting more miles than it is supposed to work for, but youll change youre alternator, starter, timing belt or chain, MAYBE a couple of other small ticket items, but keep that trans and motor happy and dont push em around it will last. ive heard excellent things about your truck
