im wondering if i can tow a 30ft tag along camper aprox 7000 pounds with a 2003 chevy 1500 extcab Ls shortbox V8

If you have the 3.73 rearend and receiver hitch, you should be able to pull it- make sure the receiver hitch is rated for that much- if not, get a bigger one. You may also want to get some spring bars to attach between the truck and trailer so it doesn't sway- any camper place should have those- you don't want it swinging back and forth if you get in the wind. The motor and trans with the 3.73 rear are rated to pull 8500, but some receiver hitches can only handle about 6000, it will say right on the hitch. To check if you have a 3.73, look in the glove box for the tag with 3 digit codes on it- Theyre inalphabetical order and 3.73 is GT4 (GU6 is 3.42, GT5 is 4.10- G80 is locking rear)
