Starter battery

I just changed my starter in my 04 chev Silverado
4.8l. But now my battery light on my dash will
come on and go out so on so on and where it
shows prnd321 it will not show me what I'm in any
idea what could be

Nine times out of ten when battery light comes on the alternator is not charging other one percent blown alternator fuse or wiring problem. With your light coming and going off I would say alternator is go.
