Electric issues for 2004

Asked by Guru9T279 Jun 17, 2017 at 12:30 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Work Truck LB RWD

Everything is working fine when it comes to the
truck itself. Previous radio worked fine and didn't
cause problems. When i went to install my new
sony stereo system for my truck but a few snags
but got those fixed. Now when ever I put the stereo
in its position my gas gauge says I'm on empty, my
battery light comes on and the only thing working
is the speedometer and the some. What's wrong?

Maybe the stereo is pushing on some wiring which is causing a bad connection.
