flashing the computer

I have a 2005 silverado that had a 4.8 motor , I replaced it with a 5.3 with the
computer . the battery light is always on and the odometer says service
engine . how can I fix this ? sombody said I need to flash my computer ,
how do I do that .

I think you need a technician , and the dealer doesn't guarantee that , the problem you have isn't really in the book so some mechs. may not want to touch it .
You just gave yourself a big can of worms, yes the computer needs reprogrammed for the trucks configuration as the factory settings will no longer work, if you have a high tech hot rod shop in your area they might be able to help. otherwise your going to have to find a shop that can do the total reprogramming. A dealership won't even touch it due to Federal emission issues.
