Fan for air conditioner doesn't always come on, why?

Some times it will blow and then sometimes I can have fan on high and it will not blow. If I stop and restart the engine then sometimes it will blow.

Hey i just got a letter in the mail about that issue. I have an 04 Silverado and it says to bring it in something about an electrical load. Does is smell like somethings buring sometimes?

if certain numbers dont work all the time then it may be the resistor underneath the passenger side dashboard.. when i first bought my 02 silverado 5 did not work then eventually none of the numbers worked. i replaced the resistor and now all numbers work.
