Electrical System

Asked by Glamper219 Mar 20, 2017 at 03:29 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD LS Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Problem 1;
Service air bag light comes on. I drive a few
minutes and it goes away... Should I be worried?
Problem 2;
Engine power reduced warning comes on. Truck
does that, but if I shut it off, pull the key, open the
door, then start again just the engine light remains
and I can finish my drive. Shut the truck off, go to
work, come back and everything is fine. Wtf?
Problem 3;
Passenger front and rear (crew cab) window
motors stopped working. There is no click in the
front passenger motor when I try to go down with
either its own switch or the driver. But with the rear
there IS a click in the motor with both switches.
Took the door panel off both and found water/ice
(cold NY day) in the "water tight" motor connector.
(problem.for sure) but nothing wrong with the rear.
Can't find a fuse.
Problem 4 (possibly source problem);
Aftermarket car starter, (dealer installed), won't
start the truck, just tries like 15 times for one
second a piece. Happened once and I never tried
again because I'd rather not put a new starter in my
truck. How can I disable it/ remove it from my
truck. And should it be sliced into my injector wire?
Maybe it's not the remote start but something is
spliced into an injector wire.
Main question;
Where the hell do I start with this tail chaser?
Grounds?
Fuses?
New Truck?

Thanks.
