hi, my 02 silverado got a new starter motor and still wouldn't start. i thought the battery may be low so it was left charging. next morning i tried to start it and nothing. only difference is that it makes a clicking noise without the key being in the ignition and it sounds like it's coming from under the truck, not entirely sure what's going on. Any thoughts guys.

Possible ignition issue in the steering column? That's my best guess.

Make sure all the wires are properly connected and clean. What did you replace the starter? Was it the same problem? Did you have the old starter tested before buying a new one? Like Tyler mentioned, it just may be the switch. Check the fuses also. When you turn on the switch, do you hear the solenoid click? Can you get it to turn over with a jump? If so, check the battery and battery connections. Most accessories will turn off when the switch is set to the start position. Do they still do that? If not, it may be the switch. Can you test the connection at the starter for power when you turn the switch to start? If you have power to the starter, you have a bad starter or bad connection. If the solenoid engages, pull the starter and check if it is making the proper connections to the flywheel. You may need to put shams on it.
