2005 Duramax Diesel started moved about 20' then shout down. Well not start back up battery's are good

I have a 2005 duramax diesel it started up fine I backed it up about 20' then it died. Will not start back up. I have about half a tank of fuel and the battery's are good. however it is reading low coolant. I added about half a gallon of water. Any ideas

Sounds like it went into limp mode, a protection program to limit power and prevent major damage to the drive terrain. Howevver, you can usually operate the vehicle in limp, limited time and power and such. Look for leaks in coolant system, water pump area certainty, and go from there. That is a 7 hr job if ya know whacha doin', and have the tools. Clear codes, and then disconnect the battery. Have had the limp system stay engaged even after clearing the codes. Hope this helps.
