How do I get the odometer error to stop saying error and show the mileage?

sounds like your instrument cluster went out. I don't think it can be repaired if it says error. there are some good websites though that know more. circuitboardmedics.com, and gmgaugerepair.com are a couple. there are more, but I think if you posed your question there you would get answers.
