Question type: General
I am looking to buy a chevy or gmc silverado crew cab with the duramax/allison combo short bed. I would like to know what type of gas mileage I can expect to receive during normal driving and what I can expect pulling a 32 foot travel trailer gross wt 12,000 lbs.
thanks

I have the LBZ option motor, and I'm geting about 17 mixed city. and hwy. can get up tp 22 on the highway and go as low as 13 when towing my 9,000 pound trailer.
I have the 07 new model lmm crew short 2500 4x4. The best advice I can give when towing is keep your speed down. I did a trip, with a 28' 5th 9500, and the majority of the time it was flat freeway. If I ran the speed limit of 120k it sucked it up but I tried keeping it at 85 to 90, and enjoyed the drive and scenery, the difference was huge. I had the edge tuner and the fuel use was displayed, well the numbers were very different. Slow down and enjoy !
I know my answer is 8 years after your question but it applies always, thanks.
