Aftermarket exhaust systems are expensive like Flowmaster, Borla, etc. I had a custom single 3" pipe made at a local muffler shop with a hyd. tubing bender, for my Chevy truck. Much cheaper too. Tube headers into a "Y" pipe & 3" inlet & outlet cat converter & perf muffler. I like Raven Products. A single 3" system will be loud, its all about resonance. But if you must 2, 2 & 1/2" duals would work too with 496? cubic inches. Choose some good tube headers from like "Summit" or "Jeg's" catalogs. No need to go stainless unless you have a Ferarri. Aluminized over steel pipes will do. High temp paint the headers or have a Jet Hot Coating done.
