Everything turns on except the car itself

Asked by Immi May 04, 2016 at 07:27 PM about the 1992 Ford Crown Victoria Touring Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 92 Crown Vic. I parked it the night before
last and got in it the following morning and she
wouldn't crank, start, sputter or anything. All mi
lights come on but she just won't start up. I
checked the check engine light and the codes
came back as 334 326 332 337. I looked them up
and they all have to do with mi EGR system. I really
just want to make sure that's the only thing wrong
before spending more and more money. Can
anyone, with true professional experience with
these situations, help mi out?

EGR Exhaust gas recirculation valves do become carbon "fouled" deposits, heat and age finish them off. If its stuck OPEN can cause, rough running or a hard start. Need to know the miles and the level of maintenance on the Crown VIc.. When was the last Tune-up? NO crank. check the battery 12.6volt and have it load tested too. make sure all connections are ,clean, tight etc.

I just used a quarter to start mi car. Touched the starter solenoid bolts using the quarter and she fired right up. Whatever the problem is, power isn't getting to mi starter. Either the ignition or the solenoid are the issue in mi opinion. Any thoughts?

Yes, do a voltage drop on the starter circuit, test the solenoid don't 'Jump' the positive check the 2 separate small gauge wires that push on to the solenoid..
