I have a 1996 crown vic lx can i put a police 2000 police interceptor motor in it

You can, but, what's your budget? I'd think it would be better just trying to find one with that feature. What are you trying to achieve, fastest car in your neighborhood? They use a lot of gas, need more repairs, are you prepared for all that?

I wrecked my 2000 crown vic and i got the 1996 just sitting up i need to use the motor so im trying to put it in the 96 instead of buying another body
Simple, call Ford and see if the transmission and engine mounts are similar. So, you're doing this yourself?

Nall i got somebody to do it for me both engines or 4.6 the 2000 just has the police package
Should fit both are 4.6L engines. The police engine just has a few more horsepower, but nothing to get too excited about.
Simple answer is yes. They are compatible/interchangeable
