Breaks on a 96 crown vic

Asked by Mjkxs2 Mar 20, 2017 at 05:50 PM about the 1996 Ford Crown Victoria 4 Dr LX Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Break pedal started to get spongy, within
20+- miles or so was down to the floor. Took
it to a shop, and they said the
right(passenger) front wasn't getting any
fluid. There has been no fluid loss, and the
breaks look good.
So I'm thinking my starting point would be
the break lines to the front right side. Would
I be right in thinking?

No. Not unless you did some work on the brake lines, which it sounds like you haven't, air just doesn't get into a brake line. I hate to speculate on what the problem actually is, but the master cylinder was my first thought.

If it is still full of fluid the lines are not the problem. If full of fluid and no leaks the master cylinder is the likely cause.
