2000 Marquis rear end

Asked by Guru9D1MV4 Nov 09, 2020 at 12:03 AM about the 2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Grand Marquis with a 273 gear rear end in it. I bought a 2004
Crown Vic rear end that has 3L27 gears in it. Can I take the differential
assembly out of the 2004, put 373 gears in it and use it in my 2000 housing?
My goal is to have a 373 locking rear end in the 2000 Grand Marquis

I suppose it is possible but the axles may or may not fit the diff. You may want to swap the whole assembly.
