2002 Ford Escape XLT V6 four-wheel drive transmission?

Asked by Bryan Jul 16, 2022 at 04:19 PM about the 2002 Ford Escape XLT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Ford Escape XLS
two wheel drive and the
transmission is good, I have a
2002 Ford Escape XLT four-wheel
drive with a blown transmission,
can the two-wheel drive
transmission go into the four-
wheel drive location? I heard they
have different length bellhousing
and curious if it's possible to
change the bell housing from the
one to the other? If someone
knows please let me know thank
you.
