Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My vehicle's oil light comes on but
goes off when I hit the gas. It's not
idling high enough at a stop light
so I have to put one foot on the
gas and one on the brake. And it
acts like it is having a hard time
shifting into a higher gear. Is it my
oil pressure sender or
transmission oil pressure sender
that needs to be replaced?

I would address the low idle first. At a low speed the engine may not generate enough oil pressure causing the light to come on. Perhaps it is the idle control valve.

The idling low just started a couple days ago. The other things started before the idling issue
