Oil light

Asked by Mac187 Nov 28, 2016 at 02:51 PM about the 2006 Ford Escape XLS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My oil light comes on when the car is in idle or
stopped running but goes off once I begin to
accelerate.

Have you checked the oil level? How many miles on the car? Low oil pressure could be from engine wear, low oil level or maybe a bad oil pressure sender sending out a false low signal.

I have already change the oil filter in the oil in it but the underneath of my vehicle has a spot where it looks like it was coming out but the oils always fine
