Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 2005 ford escape XLT it has 205,000 miles on it. it needs o2
sensors and its reading a p0420. but this past week it started with the oil light
coming on every time i would stop and the RPM would drop under 1000. Did
a oil and filter change and it still doing it. I bought a oil sender switch to see if
that is the problem. Please Help I am don't have the money to have it looked
out and then worked.

Sounds like the engine is on its last few miles. Eventually it will start making bad sounds and quit. You can try one grade heavier engine oil but that is only a bandage, it’s worn out.
