Ac isn’t blowing out of the vents when on ac or max ac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Ford escape my air-conditioner
is working but the only switches to make it
come out are the AC and Max AC. When I
turn it over to AC or Max AC it is not blowing
out of the vents it’s like it’s blowing inside the
dash somewhere I can feel it but it’s still not
coming out of the vents like it supposed to
it’s like it’s coming out of the inside of the
dash area can anybody tell me what this
might be. It’s working on just vent or vent
floor But the only way to actually get the air-
conditioner to run it to put it on defrost or
defrost floor setting.

We had that happen and found out mice had chewed hoses under the hood. We had them all replaced with metal.
