2014 Ford Escape the AC is blowing hot air we have
added Freon but it’s still blowing hot air what can we do
that won’t cost us a leg and a arm

Check AC fuse first. Then check if magnetic clutch is operating. If it isn't, you will need a new clutch and possibly a compressor. Release belt tension and try turning pulley by hand. Bearings are probably shot.
