ford escape 2006 3.0 L O/D light blinking

Asked by Solarman01 Aug 04, 2017 at 03:19 PM about the 2006 Ford Escape XLT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

a year ago we had the transmission replaced on our ford escape and a year
later we are now having a issue where the O/D light will blink and we cant
turn it off till i received a engine light. i took it in and got this code: P0715 for
Turbine/input shaft speed sensor circuit. part is $45 at autozone the labor will
be $120 my question to this is... while at a stop or we try to pass another car
on the road the escape dosnt want to accelerate faster it seems to "lag"
before it will shift "jolt" a bit to get into the gear it needs to be to increase the
speed. would replacing this sensor fix this issue?
