2003 Ford Expedition keeps blowing coolant???

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a 2003 ford expedition with 180k miles. Recently i had a tune up because my service engine soon light came on; immediately following the tune up i experienced my A/C being redirected out of the cab and sucking into the engine(turned out to be a vacuum hose) but more idiot lights came on; (Engine Hot/Low oil and on my message board said Reduce Engine Power)....and then all the anti-freeze blew out the reservoir. Since those events i Have Replaced the Intake Manifold; The Cap to the reservoir and now I'm being told it could be a leak in the Head Gasket.....Not sure what is going on!!! any suggestions are welcomed!!!

sounds like you might have a major air blockage through the internal matrix try an old trick of raising the front of the vehicle and then bleading off the coolant system with the blowers on full whilst the engine is running it sounds daft but on the ac ace in the 60s and early 70s it was the only way of dealing with the bloody things to get rid of trapped air it might work on your expedition if it still keeps doing it then i think you might have a more drastic problem of the head gasket which would be a little more expensive to sort out as you will need the head to be planed

If you notice white smoke (steam) coming from exaust even after warm up, then suspect head gasket. Do not drive in this condition. Also, once radiator is full, you may notice bubbles in radiator , also indicator of head gasket. Check engine oil for water present, usually will turn oil milky white.

I have a 2003 ford expedition, it keeps going to the H ,I put a lot of oil in it can that be the problem ? Or do i need to change or remove thermostat?
