Front brakes on 03 expedition lock up

Asked by Overworkedandunderpa... Oct 22, 2018 at 12:00 PM about the 2003 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving the front brakes lock up and
release.  And it quit shifting into overdrive.
Could my backyard mechanic have done
something to sabotage the vehicle.  Could
he have put the wrong fluid in those things
to make them mess up?

could be the brake hoses, those have been known to go bad and pinch closed when you press on the brake pedal causing your brakes to lock up.

I am actually pressing the gas when it happens. It has happened going down the expressway. Need a fix asap don't want to get rear ended by a semi or something. I can't find an answer anywhere.

honestly you may want to invest getting it diagnosed from a professional most places charge 100 bucks to do that and sounds like it could be a danger to drive if it makes you worry you could be in an accident
