If not, low charge will not allow the compressor to run. There is a pressure switch that protects your compressor. Also if clutch is not running, check AC fuse and clutch relay.

Check refrigerant charge. Too high or too low will give you warm air. Also an obstruction in the system. Condenser is a common blockage point.
