Truck will not start without a jump

If it starts with a jump either the starter is drawing too much current or more likely there is a bad connection at the battery positive cable, a bad connection at the battery negative cable, one of the battery cables is bad internally, the ground to the engine is loose or corroded or the big cable going to the starter could also be loose or bad. In addition your new battery could be defective.

Start by cleaning the battery cables with a mixture of water & baking soda Replace the cheap rings that go from the cable to the battery post PS Bob has some good points too
