2004 expedition ac stopped working while driving

I accelerate my  car on the expresway having my
ac on to pass an slow car but after I press the gas
my ac stopped working, I check my fuse box but ac
fuse is ok, anyone have any clue what could
possibly happen, any help will be greatly
appreciated.
