liftgate won't open

my rear liftgate won't open. its like it's still locked

grab hold of the corners and really push it into the latch...should go click and resume normal operation...the latch is in no-man's land....this happens sometimes~

You don't say if that took care of your problem or not... Did the above fix your liftgate? If it did, great. If not then 1. does the liftgate window open? If it does, when you use the remote to lock and unlock the car, do you hear the tailgate lock energize? If it is unlocking, then put your butt up against the license and push in and then try to unlock it with the handle. You may have gotten some trash in the lock catch.

I suspect the door lock actuator needs to be replaced. The same thing happens to the side doors eventually. The rear hatch actuator is removed on You Tube but the replacement part is hard to find.

hey guys, Ford Expd.2010 The liftgate opens with the strike, key fob, inside switch, and the outside switch. Opening the liftgate is fine, however, nothing closes the liftgate... What do you think is the problem?? iq0099@gmail.com
