fuel pump, relay and accessory fuse

Asked by Kerstin Mar 28, 2016 at 07:20 PM about the 1993 Ford Taurus LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

93 Ford Taurus thought the fuel pump was
bad so we changed it. Noticed that the 10
amp accessory feed fuse kept blowing. The
relay won't click and the pump will not cut
on unless this fuse is not blown. Can't figure
out why the fuel pump and relay would be
connected to that fuse? We took all the
fuses out (I.e. lamps, lighters radio etc) and
the fuse still blew. Please help
