Whst would make 2002 ford explorer die going down the road?

Has the fuel filter ever been changed? Fourteen years is quite a length of time.
Has the fuel filter ever been changed? Fourteen years is quite a length of time.
Checked all fuses, good. Fuel shut off reset, not tripped. Starts then idels but can not get over 1000 rpm without dieing.
