Question type: General
When I turn toward the right or left my vehicle jerks unless I slow down & turn slowly. I
have a 2003 Ford Explorer. Does this mean my transmission is going bad? Or, what is
the problem?

one or both of your wheel bearings are bad, and jack up car wiggle wheel if it goes left to right you have bad tie rods if it wiggles up to down you have bad ball joints
. These have a very sensitive 4wd / awd system. If you are running 2 different kinds of tires on the front and rear or new tires on front and 1/2 tread tires on rear that will cause your problem. Put 4 tires on it with the same amount of tread same kind of tire and it will fix it. New tires are best.
