Question type: General

When I turn toward the right or left my vehicle jerks unless I slow down & turn slowly.  I
have a 2003 Ford Explorer. Does this mean my transmission is going bad?  Or, what is
the problem?

. These have a very sensitive 4wd / awd system. If you are running 2 different kinds of tires on the front and rear or new tires on front and 1/2 tread tires on rear that will cause your problem. Put 4 tires on it with the same amount of tread same kind of tire and it will fix it. New tires are best.
