I heard you can disconnect the battery for a while and this might work but I don't think it erase the code. It's also not good as your enginer has some memory that is good to keep. The best thing is to connect an auto scan tool to erase the codes. Autozone and Advance will do it for free or you can buy your own tool for 60 to 90 dollars.

you can remove the ECM fuse for a few minutes and put it back in,or you can unhook the NEG side of the battery also for a few min and reconnect, eather should cut off the light,it clears the codes from computer, wont hurt a thing.

Same thing happened to me... Engin light came on and prob showed cylinder 8 too many misfires... Changed egnition coil. Twice and the 3rd time I got that code spark plugs showed up... That's prob what it was the second time too. I knew my vehicle was too new for foolishness already. 2013 w: 88G miles I'm grateful that's all it was though. Now I need this light off.

Service light is usually a light saying you should change the oil as a reminder. If you have a tripometer reset button just push that and hold it down then turn on ignition switch. Do not start just turn on ignition to light up the dash. Continue to hold the tripometer button down until service light goes off. Done.

Ah no advance won't clear codes 10 k fine if they do is what they said today I spent 2500 in emission related parts and other parts in the last three months an they can't clear a code for me to find out what else I may need or they sold me the wrong parts again but now I'm getting p0443 an 1750 o2 sensor codes out of range now instead of open circuits so I'm getting closer to getting that light out it's been on so long bulb actually burnt out
