Ford Explorer 2006 Stops When Fuel Tank is Full

My Ford Explorer 2006 stops when the fuel tank is
full. After a quarter of tank is consumed, the
vehicle runs perfectly.

Can anyone give me a clue about this issue?

On my 2010 it warns not to overfill the gas tank, stop introducing gasoline when the pump clicks off the first time. If your system has a sealed system, raw liquid gasoline is forced into vapor line. It can destroy the canister and purge valve pump.
