How do I fix my blinkers?

Asked by desiree Sep 16, 2015 at 10:47 AM about the 2002 Ford Explorer Sport 2WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The front blinkers work and blink at normal pace but in the back, both left and right lights blink at the same time. And when I push on the brakes the blinker just stops and the light just stays on and when I start to turn the wheel it blinks at an uneven pace and it's all weird. Never had this issue before so not sure what to do about it.

You have two wires shorted together in the rear harness. Probably at on of the tail lights.
