2002 Ford Focus ZX5 electrical problem

Asked by Georgerodriguez3 Nov 25, 2015 at 09:25 AM about the 2002 Ford Focus ZX5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Last night I was driving down the
road without any issues when
suddenly all of my gauges stopped
working (speedometer, temp, fuel)
and the odometer screen is blank. I
pull over and as soon as I put my car
in park the gauges shoot up to the
highest they will go and the battery
light turns on. I pop the hood see no
issues right then and there so I
continue driving since I was a mile
away from my house. Every time I
accelerated the gauges would not
work and the odometer was off, and
when I stopped the gauges went to
normal but the battery light turned
on. This morning I tried to turn my
car on and nothing. If anyone has
any idea what's going on please let
me know! Thanks!

Your battery is bad,or your alternator is bad, have them checked.
