Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a new evaporator core put in by a mechanic who is no longer in business. After i got
the car back, my check engine light came on.  The people at discount auto said it was
the emissions valve.  Could it have been something the mechanic did?

Maybe- it is bad luck that the guy isn't around anymore- now you have to just move forward and find a good, reliable mechanic-
