2006 Ford Focus vibrating at 20-25 mph.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey. My 2006 Ford Focus vibrates moderately at 20-25 mph, when I'm turning and in
idle. After 25 mph it stops and drives absolutely fine. No engine sounds, weird feelings,
nothing. Just a vibrating that's very noticeable. My mechanic says my engine is
absolutely  fine last check up (bout 2 weeks ago). However, yesterday when I pulled
into a parking lot my steering jerked and the car didn't feel like it wanted to turn. Any
ideas? I recently topped off the power steering fluid.

It might be a problem with the transmission for automatic. Your car is not down shifting to the correct gear and is still in its higher/top gear which causes these vibrations. I'd check that. As for the steering problem, I am not sure.
