How do I fix my break light switch wire it is not show any kind of current through the line and I put my car into drive

I went to go wire the brake switch adapter and the
wire started sparking when I put the wire cutters to
the brake shift wire and now the wire is dead what
happen and how do I fix it

You blew its fuse when it sparked. Fuse 17 15 amp interior fuse panel.
