Is there a special Fo Mo Co tool for the ac lines on the firewall of an 05 Taurus?
Swapping out all ac components, looked easy enough until I got to the firewall. It seems that an ac tool bent at nearly a 90 degree angle are needed I tried useing a hogged out cap from an armor all bottle but can't catch it all around. Going to try a hose clamp with the cap tomorrow, hope it works. Any ideas?
For less than $15, the Auto parts stores have AC Disconnect tools. You'll ruin the connections trying anything else.
Thank you Tracy. I ordered the thrid ac line and a set of three angled disconnect tools from Rock Auto this morning. I have the metal tool that has four different sizes that worked fine on connections where there was enough room but could not fit the firewall connections,hopefully the angled ones I orderd will work. Will post with what I hope are sucessful results when I get part and tools.
