What is a good way to tell which cylinder is missing when the tester says there is spark to each cylinder.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed out the rocker arm assembly and push rods. It is still making a lot of top end noise and is missing on at least one or two cylinders. The spark plug wire tester indicates spark getting to each cylinder. It has a coil pack so I don't know if it is safe to disconnect the spark plug wires to try to find the missing cylinders.

I would take out all of your spark plugs and find out which one is not firing. It will be black. There may also be a lot of grime and gunk that has built up in the spark plug well.
