Actually it is as follows... ESV = Extended Stretch Vehicle and/or Escalade Stretch Vehicle. those 2 definitions have been argued by Cadillac fans for some time now. (2003-2006 using the GMT-830 platform, 2007+ using the GMT-936) I own a 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV, I love the smoother ride of the longer wheelbase.

Actually, you're wrong. ESV stands for Entertainment System Vehicle, because of all the entertainment specs loaded in the vehicle...dvd, and game station hook ups. But many people prefer to use your answer, as it truly makes sense.

Scott, Wiki and Cadillac both disagree with you. ESV is extended stretch vehicle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Escalade

I thought it was for the Extra Strong Vodka they gave you for when you were crying over your $1200/month payment on your fancy Suburban
