is replaceing a bearing at the end of the main shaft recomended at 60K miles.

the drive train has a chater at 30 MPH +or-. It feals like a blown bearing, with
skips and jirks. It apears in third gear, and disapears when it automaticly
shifts into wigh.
     I remember a bearing that was scedualed to change at 60K miles.Is tyhis
so, and if so is there a tutoral on toe chang.

I can't find one on line, but 60k sounds about right to have it done....you may need to buy a service manual on line to done the job the right way
